Recognition of Mobility

Incoming Mobility

Within five weeks after the end of the mobility period, sending institutions will be sent Transcript of Records for their student. The Centre for Culture, Foreign Languages and Academic Exchange at the College of Tourism will issue the Transcript of Records for the incoming student with the accurate data about the duration of stay, course titles and achieved results in two originals (one for the student and one for the sending institution's records).

Incoming staff will receive a signed and stamped confirmation letter of exchange for their mobility period.

Outgoing Mobility

ECTS point recognition is based on the Learning Agreement and upon receiving Transcript of Records from the host institution. The recognition of these documents is handled by the Centre for Culture, Foreign Languages and Academic Exchange at the College of Tourism. The study results from the mobility period are recognized as an improvement of professional knowledge and will be acknowledged as working towards their degrees. The recognition of the mobility achievements is guided by the principles of flexibility, focusing more on finding similarities rather than differences between courses. The mobility period, host institution and additional ECTS achieved will be printed in the diploma supplement upon graduation from the College. Mobile students are encouraged to share their experiences in order to encourage other students to apply for the mobility.

Staff mobility is strongly supported by the College of Tourism as a relevant way of professional development and knowledge transfer. The College recognizes the benefits of mobility both in terms of professional development, as well as enhancing the quality of education, thereby the quality of the institution itself. Outgoing mobile teachers experience novel teaching methods during mobility, which they are encouraged to transfer these into their own classrooms. The Centre for Culture, Foreign Languages and Academic Exchange supports participation in projects as a form of transfer of knowledge and experience.
